When used properly, the ABN is a powerful tool that can protect your right to be paid.  Medicare has very specific rules on how and when to use the ABN.  Dr. Ron Short will explain the proper use of the ABN and the associated modifiers.  TIP: Have a current copy of the ABN in front of you for this training.

Proving Medical Necessity, Functional Improvement, and Maintenance Care
Sorry, this webinar has already taken place.

The majority of Medicare claims that are denied are denied because they do not prove medical necessity.  Dr. Ron Short will reveal what Medicare wants/needs to prove medical necessity, as well as how to document it properly.  He will also show you how to determine when your patient reaches Maximum Medical Improvement and how to document it to Medicare.
